Like a flashlight, you shine a beam of light that cuts through the darkness of my soul.

You were the light in my life- the sun, the star, the everlasting luminance. Now all I’m left with is darkness, the specks of light here and there to remind me of what I once had but lost.

A momentary respite from all of the darkness in my life is when I would think and wonder, what if we gave our relationship another chance?
