How To Keep Your Girl

How To Keep Your Girl

The Perfect Relationship

The don't want the perfect relationship, because perfect is impossible. I want trustworthy, honest, loyal and love. I love imperfections. I don't want perfect. I want worth it.

To Remain In Love

To remain in love for a lifetime: listen actively to your partner, ask questions, give answers, appreciate, stay attractive, include your partner, give him/her privacy, be honest and trustworthy, tell your mate what you need, accept his/her shortcomings as who they are, give respect in all things, never threaten to leave, say 'no' to adultery, and cultivate variety in your activities to keep things fresh. You can never say 'I love you' too many times and you should say it every day. Even though you've been together forever it seems, you should still continue to 'date' your mate and find new ways to fall in love with them every. Single. Day.

A Soulmate

A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are, we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we’re safe in our own paradise. Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we’re two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we’ve found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life.

My Husband

I feel good with my husband: I like his warmth and his bigness and his being-there and his making and his jokes and stories and what he reads and how he likes fishing and walks and pigs and foxes and little animals and is honest and not vain or fame-crazy and how he shows his gladness for what I cook him and joy for when I make him something, a poem or a cake, and how he is troubled when I am unhappy and wants to do anything so I can fight out my soul-battles and grow up with courage and a philosophical ease. I love his good smell and his body that fits with mine as if they were made in the same body-shop to do just that. What is only pieces, doled out here and there to this boy and that boy, that made me like pieces of them, is all jammed together in my husband. So I don't want to look around any more: I don't need to look around for anything.

Love Is Being Honest

Love is being honest with yourself at all times. Being honest with the other person at all times. Telling, listening, respecting the truth and never pretending. Love is the source of reality.

He May Not Be

He may not be handsome but he's got good sense. He may not be the smartest but is confident enough to express himself. He may not be young but he smells so good. He may not be hot but sweet and honest enough to make a woman fall.

If You’re Really Honest

If you're really honest with the one you love, even if she’s away, you will ignore the people who flirt with you.
